PipeKorr Corrugated Double-Wall HDPE Cable Duct Cable protection 450N and 750N – EN 61386-24 – IMQ certification

NTET’s PipeKorr Cable Duct range comprises rigid double-wall corrugated pipes in high-density polyethylene (HDPE), designed for laying and permanently protecting electrical, telephone and fibre-optic cables.

Produced by continuous co-extrusion of the two walls, they offer excellent mechanical properties with crushing resistances of 450 N and 750 N. Compliant with EN 61386-1 and EN 61386-24, IMQ certified and CE marked. Available in bars (6 and 12 m) and coils (25, 50, 100 m) with coupling sleeve included.

When to choose 450N vs 750N

  • 450N — Bars: Standard trench laying for electrical and telecom cables, light vehicle loads
  • 450N — Coils: Laying where flexibility and joint-free continuity are needed; small diameters (DN 40–90) for fibre optics and signal cables
  • 750N — Bars: Road crossings, heavy-load areas, greater depths where higher mechanical strength is required

Applications

PipeKorr cable ducts are designed for the permanent protection of cables in any infrastructure context.

  • Low- and medium-voltage electrical networks

Mechanical protection of electrical distribution cables in urban and extra-urban burial. The 750N versions for road crossings and high-load areas.

  • Fibre-optic and telecommunications networks

Ducting for fibre-optic and copper cables. The 450N coils in small diameters (DN 40–63) are ideal for FTTH networks. Blue and Red colours make it easy to identify backbones.

  • Road and railway crossings

The 750N Bars version offers the mechanical strength required for installations beneath roads, railways and airports with heavy vehicle loads.

  • Signalling and control cables

Protection of railway, road and plant signalling cables. The coils allow continuous laying over long runs, minimising joints.

  • Public lighting

Ducts for laying the power-supply cables of urban public-lighting systems, with a coupling sleeve for quick installation.

FAQ

The number indicates the crushing resistance in Newtons. The 450N version is suitable for most standard installations (trenches, pavements, green areas). The 750N is designed for areas with higher loads: road crossings, heavy-vehicle areas, greater depths.

The coils offer continuity without joints over long runs (25, 50 or 100 m), reducing laying time and costs. They are more flexible and also available in small diameters (DN 40–90) that are not available in bars. The bars (6 and 12 m) offer greater rigidity and are easier to align in the trench over straight runs.

The colours allow immediate identification of the type of protected cable: Black for general use, Red for power cables, Blue for telecommunications and fibre optics, Grey/Yellow for specific applications. This eases maintenance and reduces the risk of errors on site.

Yes, all versions (bars and coils) are supplied complete with a coupling sleeve. The coils also include a pre-inserted draw wire to ease pulling the cable inside the pipe with a pulling cord.

The cable ducts are certified by the IMQ institute, CE marked according to EN 61386-1 and EN 61386-24. Production takes place in ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment) certified plants. The company is registered with the mandatory Ecopolietilene Consortium and publishes a Sustainability Report compliant with the GRI Standards 2021.

Standard bars are 6 and 12 m, coils 25, 50 and 100 m. Other sizes and lengths are available on request. Contact the sales department for specific site requirements.
