Omega fiberglass trunking variants

The Omega range includes two main variants, differentiated by usable cross-section and thickness, both with a length of 3 m. The “Omega” shape ensures excellent load distribution and allows rational wall-mounted cable installation using dedicated metal brackets.

Recommended installation
Protection of LV cable bundles or signalling cables in tunnels, technical rooms and wall-mounted routes using bracket T6P00001 (Omega 50 bracket).

Technical specifications Omega fiberglass cable trunking for cable protection

Structure and materials

The Omega trunking is manufactured from polyester resin reinforced with glass fibre in a percentage greater than 50%, standard colour grey RAL 7001. The profile is produced by pultrusion, ensuring controlled thicknesses and a uniform surface finish.

Functionality

The “Omega” shape provides high compressive strength, electrical insulation and corrosion resistance. The channel is normally used to protect LV and MV electrical cables and is wall-mounted using dedicated steel brackets; upon request, it can be supplied with slots for fixing using metal banding.

Compliance

The product meets flame resistance requirements according to ASTM D-635 (< 240 seconds) and impact rating IK10 in accordance with CEI EN 62262. The trunking also complies with Enel technical reference Table DS 4237 for cable protection channels.

Versatile applications

  • Protection of LV/MV cables in industrial and infrastructure installations

  • Cable routing on walls of tunnels, substations and technical rooms

  • Cable paths in electrical cabins, conversion stations and distributed switchboards

  • Installations exposed to impacts or corrosive atmospheres, where IK10 rating and fiberglass are required
