Technical specifications – Glass fiber reinforced round bar for concrete

Structure and materials

NTET reinforced round bars are made of glass fiber–reinforced polymer, intended for use as reinforcement in concrete structures. The material is characterized by a glass fiber content greater than 70% and by mechanical properties declared according to the nominal diameter, as reported in the relevant technical tables. This composition allows the production of elements with high mechanical strength and consistent dimensional characteristics along the entire length of the product.

Functionality

Glass fiber reinforcement bars feature low thermal conductivity, absence of electrical conductivity, and high corrosion resistance, as indicated in the technical data sheets. These characteristics make the product suitable for use in concrete structures as an alternative to traditional steel reinforcement, in contexts where material durability and long-term performance stability are required. Mechanical performances, such as tensile strength and elastic modulus, are declared for each available nominal diameter.

Compliance

The technical and performance characteristics of the reinforced round bars are documented in the relevant NTET technical data sheets. For variant STT0PO0168, the reference technical document is N.MD.IM.0139 dated 05/09/2024. Any additional regulations, certifications, or test references not explicitly stated in the technical data sheets are to be considered subject to confirmation.

Versatile applications

  • Concrete structures using reinforcement as an alternative to steel

  • Applications requiring electrical non-conductivity and low thermal conductivity

  • Environments exposed to corrosion where high corrosion resistance is required
