Microducts in HDPE for telecommunications Ducting for the protection of telephone, fibre optic and medium-voltage cables
The NTET Monotube/Tritube range includes high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tubes stabilized against ageing, designed as permanent ducting for the protection of telephone cables in fibre optic or copper, low- or medium-voltage electrical cables and signalling cables.
They are distinguished by light weight, high mechanical performance and ease of installation. Available in various diameters and colours, single or multiple, smooth or grooved. They can be installed in trenches, laid in open excavations, on prepared duct systems or in fiberglass cable trays for viaducts, tunnels and bridges.
5 monotube codes and 2 tritube codes to cover every diameter and operating pressure requirement.
Single smooth or grooved HDPE tube, diameters Ø 40 and Ø 50 mm. Available in pressure classes PN 6, PN 10 and PN 12.5 to suit different installation depths and loads.
Configuration with three grooved Ø 50 mm tubes coupled in a single bundle for the simultaneous installation of multiple cables. PN 6 and PN 10 classes.
NTET monotubes and tritubes are permanent ducting systems for cable protection in telecommunications, energy and signalling applications.
Fibre optic networks (FTTH/FTTB)
Protection of fibre optic cables in ultra-broadband access networks. The grooved version facilitates fibre blowing inside the tube.
Copper telephone networks
Ducting for traditional copper telephone cables, with mechanical protection and insulation from ground moisture.
Low- and medium-voltage electrical cables
Mechanical protection of electrical distribution cables in buried installation or ducting systems, with PN 10 and PN 12.5 versions for greater depths.
Signalling cables
Ducting for railway and road signalling cables, where continuous tubing in coils minimizes joints along the route.
Viaducts, tunnels and bridges
Installation in fiberglass cable trays for cable routing on transport infrastructure, with direct fixing and mechanical protection.
FAQ
The monotube is a single tube, available in Ø 40 and Ø 50 mm. The tritube consists of three Ø 50 mm tubes coupled in a single bundle, for the simultaneous installation of three different cables in the same trench, reducing excavation costs.
The grooved version (code N0ES0002) has grooves both internally and externally. The internal grooving reduces friction and facilitates blowing fibre optic cable into the tube. The smooth version is intended for traditional cable pulling.
PN indicates the Nominal Pressure of the tube, which affects wall thickness. PN 6 (3 mm) for shallow installation depths, PN 10 (3.5 mm) for intermediate depths, PN 12.5 (4.6 mm) for deep installations with heavy loads. Greater thickness provides greater mechanical protection for the cable.
Ø 40 monotubes are supplied in 400 m coils. Ø 50 monotubes in 300 m coils. Ø 50 tritubes in 350–500 m coils depending on the PN class. Customized lengths available on request.
Yes, the tubes are available in various colours and can be supplied with custom identification printed along the tube. Coil lengths can also be customized according to site requirements.
